The XJ car, which is a product of the Jaguar Cars owned by Tata Motors, was proudly presented in England at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London last year. It is now time to usher in the same model in India. 14th June, 2010 was the date of the release in India. Jaguar Cars has got a good hold in Europe with their brands like XK and XF. The XJ car had made its entry at the Auto Expo in the Indian capital.

The brainchild behind the designing of the XJ car is Ian Callum, who is the design director. The next in the luxury car series by the Tatas, the XJ car has engine 5.0 liter 385PS AJ-V8 Gen III DI V8 petrol engine. The XJ car costs almost Rs. 1 Cr. 95L to be precise.

However, the price tag is making no difference to the number of buyers. Mr.S.Krishnan, who is the senior vice president (commercial), of the Passenger Car Business Unit of Tata Motors said that there are many customers who are eager to buy the XJ car.

People are not running after the car for nothing. The XJ car is an example of aero dynamism with a drag coefficient of 0.9. A lustrous appearance, a design that is more than enchanting and a superb example of engineering are all what makes XJ one of its kinds.

A blend of aluminum along with magnesium and composite alloys is what makes XJ light weight still a tough vehicle. Being inside the XJ will be a kind of an experience for you. Automatic Transmissions:

Many car owners love their Automatic Transmissions for comfort and ease. Put it in Drive, the torque converter does all the work and you Go. New technologies in Automatic Transmissions are now allowing six-speed automatic transmissions. You will find these six-speed automatic transmissions in mainstream cars like the Mazda6 and Ford Five Hundred. The MINI Cooper S, made by BMW, is thinking of going with the six-speed automatic transmission in its car. Seven-speed automatics are also showing up in high end luxury cars.

CVT Transmissions:
